Gorham House has enjoyed a reputation of providing quality healthcare to residents of the greater Portland area since 1990. Today, Gorham House has entered a new era in the approach to caring for short- and long-term nursing home residents. 

Gorham House has implemented new ways to carry out  traditional care roles – being trained to be more versatile. A family of Nurses,  Homemakers, and Caregivers are empowered to take an active role in meal planning, clinical coordination, conducting activities, and tending to the home.

Daily events are centered in and near a family room. Activities are abundant for residents and there are special “Family Days” that are hosted where all enjoy professional entertainment and special luncheons.
